The title of this post is the final fortune I plan to use for a while, but somehow it seemed appropriate for just before departure. I'm sure it will be a thrilling trip. I'm really looking forward to being somewhere new and different!
We are doing final clean up/organizing/packing stuff prior to leaving tomorrow. We had a good scare learning about the Norwegian airport strike, but it sounds like it's over now, so hopefully we won't be affected. The Alta airport we'd just booked a flight through had been closed!
Here's the planned itinerary, very much subject to change for a variety of reasons:
May 23 – arrive Oslo
May 24 , 25 – Oslo, Grorudveien – Frognerparken, Bygdoy
May 26 – to Hokksund (south), Fossesholm (estate/museum/café) tour, pensjonat, stay Buskerud Skole
May 27 – BBQ Hokksund, To Hovin, Telemark,
May 28 – Holvin (practice/dancing lessons)
May 29 – still in Holvin: Heddal Stavkirke (medieval stave church) Bygdetunet (outdoor village museum) see Bo (town)
May 30 – to Mjonoy (camping by river) 1st CONCERT
May 31 – to Ose in Setesdal (with stops along way) CONCERT?
June 1 – to Stavanger CONCERT at Bul-Laget 7:30
June 2 – sightseeing in Stavanger CONCERT at Sola Ruinkirke in Sola 7:00
June 3 –sightseeing in Stavanger
June 4 – Preikestolen hiking
June 5 – Balestrand, at a hotel, CONCERT Kviknes Hotel
June 6 – south to Bergen, maybe to Naeroydalen, lunch at Gudvangen (concert), overnight hosts in Bergen
June 7 – sightseeing, CONCERT at Storetveit Kirke in Bergen, Kirkeveien 7:30
June 8 – bus to Oslo
June 9 – flight to Alta, boat to Hammerfest, see midnight sun
June 10 – back to Alta, see petroglyphs, overnight Alta
June 11 – fight back to Oslo
June 12 – depart for home
